SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11S 12 CLOCK FACE U11S 26 - 20th April 2008.

 

This was a great performance from the Sharks and the scoreline does not do justice to their efforts.

Adam Thompson was in outstanding form for Shevington taking the Man of the Match and Spectators award, and he was well supported by the very impressive Coaches award winner, Dominic Lomax.

 

Shevingtons two tries were scored by Top Tackler, Dan Meadows who showed great strength and pace to score both tries.

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11S 10 WIGAN ST JUDES U11S 24 - 13th April 2008.

 

This was a very exciting local derby with St Judes securing victory late in the second half

Man of the Match, Robert Kerr was in outstanding form for the Sharks and he was well supported by Coaches award winner, Callum Freeman and Top Tackler, Dan Meadows.

 

Try scorers for the Sharks were Adam Thompson and Spectators award winner, Matty Boyers.

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11s 6 WIGAN St PATS U11s 24 - 6th April 2008.

 

The score-line did not do justice to the effort and commitment the Sharks put into this game.

 

Shevington were superbly led by Man of the match, Kyle Shelford and he was well supported by Top Tackler, Dominic Lomax and Spectators award winner, Sam Halliwell.

 

The Sharks try scorer was Callum Freeman who powered over the line after a great run

 

Shevington Sharks U11s 12 Thatto Heath U11s 32 - 30th March 2008.

 

The scoreline does not do justice to the hard work and commitment all the Sharks players put into this fixture.

 

Matty Boyers was in scintillating form for Shevington, taking the Spectators award and scoring a superb hat-trick of tries. Kyle Shelford took the Man of the match award, and did not deserve to be on the losing side with a great performance. Sam Chadwick, deservedly, took the Coaches award.

 

Triangular Tournament - 9th March 2008.

 

Shevington Sharks Under 11s took part in a triangular tournament on Sunday with Ince Rose Bridge and West Hull

 

The Sharks first game was against West Hull and they were victorious with a 10-8 victory. It was a great team performance with Kyle Shelford and Dominic Lomax having good games. Try scorers for the Sharks were the impressive Dan Meadows and, the Shevington Player of the Tournament, Matty Boyers

 

In the Sharks second game they came up against a very good Ince Rose Bridge side and lost the game 26-0, although the scoreline does not do justice to the committed performance from Shevington who went close to scoring on a number of occasions

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11S 6 CHORLEY PANTHERS U11S 16 - 2nd March 2008.

 

This was a closely contested contest between two very determined teams.

Spectator’s award winner, Matty Boyers was in fine form for the Sharks and scored a spectacular try, he was well supported by Top Tackler, Dominic Lomax, Coaches award winner Dan Meadows and Man of the Match Kyle Shelford

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11S 34 WARERHEAD U11S 22 - 24th Feb 2008.

 

This was a superb display by the Sharks, and they came away from Oldham with a well deserved victory.

 

Matty Boyers was in outstanding form for the Sharks, scoring a hat-trick of tries he also took the Man of the Match and Spectators Award.

 

Other try scorers were Shane Melling and Dominic Lomax.

 

Adam Thompson was in excellent form and too the Top Tackler award while Kyle Shelford was the Coaches choice for a fine all round game.

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11S 16 ROCHDALE MAYFIELD U11S 26 - 10th Feb 2008.

 

This was a much improved display from the Sharks and they were certainly in with a chance of winning the game until the last 5 mins.

 

Man of the match and Spectators award winner Kyle Shelford was in superb form for Shevington leading from the front and unlucky to be on the losing side.

 

Try scorers for the Sharks were Coaches award winner Ryan Doran, Patrick Flatley and Adam Weir

Callum Freeman was the Top Tackler for a non stop display.

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11’S 24 RYLANDS U11’S 46 - 11th Nov 2007.

 

The final scoreline does not do justice to the hard work Shevington put into this game.

The Sharks were superbly led by Man of the Match and Spectators award winner, Dan Meadows and he was well supported by Coaches award winner Robert Kerr and Top Tackler Patrick Flatley.

 

Try scorers for Shevington were Adam Thompson [2], Kyle Shelford and Meadows

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11'S 36 WIDNES WEST BANK U11'S 8 - 14th Oct 2007.

 
The Sharks continued their recent good form with this victory over a very determined West Bank outfit.
 
Matty Boyers was in superb form for the Sharks, walking away with the Man of the match award and also scoring 4 outstanding tries. Other try scorers were Adam Thompson and Top Tackler, Dominic Lomax.
 

Ryan Doran was in great form for Shevington and picked up the Coaches award, while Patrick Flatley was the Spectators award winner for a faultless display.

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11'S 40 - GOLBORNE PARKSIDE U11'S 12 - 7th Oct 2007.

 

The Sharks put in a superb display against a very gallant Golborne side.
 
Adam Thompson was in great form for Shevington, scoring a try and deservedly taking the Man of the match award. Other try scorers were Dan Meadows with a superb hat-trick, Matty Boyers, Coaches award winner Dominic Lomax and Adam Weir. Shane Melling took the Top Tackler award for a non stop display in defence.

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11'S 22 WIDNES MOORFIELD U11'S 10 - 30th Sept 2007.

 

A great display from both teams but it was the Sharks who eventually ran out the winners. Man of the match, Adam Thompson was in sensational form for the Sharks and he was well supported by the impressive Coaches award winner, Kyle Shelford.

 

Try scores for Shevington were Top Tackler, Dan Meadows, Robert Kerr, Matt Boyers and Shane Melling.

 

Coach Gary Melling was delighted with the performance " We did not have the best pre season for various reasons, but I must say the lads have put all that behind them and the display from everyone of them today was outstanding"

 

SHEVINGTON SHARKS U11'S 12 - SADDLEWORTH U11'S 24 - 23nd Sept 2007

This was a great game between two evenly matched teams but it was Saddleworth who got the victory late in the game.

The Sharks were well lead by Man of the match, Dominic Lomax, Coaches award winner, Adam Weir and TopTacklers Dan Meadows, Matty Boyers and Callum Freeman.

The try scorers for Shevington were Chris Bayliss and Shane Melling.
